Purple indicator light that seems to notify nothing

A couple of weeks ago I started to get a purple notification light. I checked my notifications and there was nothing. I went to the Verizon store to ask and they did a Google search and told me one of my apps is doing it. But I cannot figure out which one. Any ideas?

Maybe and I do not claim to know. Theoretically Light as know to be considered as passing through a prism is dispersed in to various color bands. We may have to consider that todays technology encorporates many form of light sourses in order to produce the effects of various color spectrums. For example this may be further examined In the use of colored filters. A Blue filter is placed infront of a yellow stream of light the image projected onto a white back ground may well appear black. Try now changing the background. The same will follow for light. Try changing your color of the fonts you have selected. This may be found in Physics Fundamentals, or in most books on the subject of Physics. I have no clue of how to change the colors on the phone(smart) you can do this on your computer easily as an experiment be careful the screen may loose you.

It will be very nice if verizon could have staffers that were like the careers of people in the medical field or even teachers, I have never stop learning, we sometimes forget to learn so we maybe helpful, in finding answers.I hope I have helped in some way.

So you're saying that when you get the LIGHT, it's BLINKING, right?? And you swipe down the top tool bar and nothing is showing up as an APP that is trying to communicate that fact? How often does it happen? Does it light up like that immediately after a fresh restart of your phone?

It is blinking most of the time. Usually when I start my phone to the end of the day.

If "most of the time" (whatever that means, lol) I would boot into SAFE MODE and see if it still is doing that "most of the time" ... that would help rule out a 3rd party APP that you installed that is doing that ... If it goes away in SAFE MODE, it's time to start reviewing (uninstalling) the last APPS that you installed, 1 by 1, until the issue goes away ... Again, when you SWIPE down the Tool Bar you say your'e NOT seeing anything in that list of notifications ???

It goes away if I turn off data. It also seems to not have come on this morning. It is not really an issue more than I would like to know what it is trying to tell me.

Aha! I just checked this forum and it appears to be from Yahoo Mail or messenger. Because I try to check my Yahoo mail only once or twice a day, it will blink at me until I do. No wonder it is not on right now because I went through my emails first thing this morning (vs later in the morning during the week when I notice it most).

I also found out that there are other colored lights too. They are for various other apps such as Facebook, etc.

Correct .. and you can change the colors in most/all of them as well in their SETTINGS for each APP. :-)

Hey drum_thumper Give Light flow a Look! You can set any kind of Color of Notification and you can Change or set Ringtones an Change the Vibrate with Light Flow they have a Free Version or a Paid Version i went with the paid But if you want to check it Get the Free if you like allot then go with the paid version with the Paid Version the Adds will go away..b33 :smileyhappy:
