Settings / Location & Security / Screen Lock / Face Unlock < then prompted to "set it up" ..
Are you saying you are not able to click on that? Everything in tha Screen lock menu is GRAY ?? You don't have a 3rd party App installed that is a "screen management" function do you?

Yes I am not able to click on it is is grayed out saying it's disabled. I have un-installed any and all screen savers, it did not help. and the only thing that is not grayed out is "PIN" and Password."

Go to SETTINGS | LOCATION AND SECURITY | SELECT DEVICE ADMINISTRATORS and tell us what is listed there.

Easy Fix ----- I had the exact problem on my razr maxx, I found the problem was I set the security to encrypt everything on the phone and everything became greyed out except pin and password. Once i turned off the encryption all the selections are ok again including face unlock. I do not know yet if only one of the encryption choices made the difference or if it was a combination

Additonally, try booting into SAFE MODE and see if the problem still exists ..
Power OFF
Power Up
As soon as you see "Dual Core .. blah blah" (the 1st screen on boot up), Press andd HOLD BOTH Up and Down volume keys at the same time .. continue to hold for like 1-2 mins ... Phone will eventualy say SAFE MODE in lower left corner..
Check your Settings now and see if they're still greyed out ... if they are NOT, you have some 3rd party APP getting in the way ...

I'm going to ask a stupid question, but we ARE talking about a Razr MAXX with a Front Facing Camera installed, right? Does the Front facing camera work in other Camera Apps ???

Hi qazwsxecdrfv,
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has been an awesome update to the Motorola Razr! I want to make sure all of the features have been enabled and are working properly! Thank you to the community for some excellent suggestions! Were you able to disable the encryption option? Safe Mode confirmed 3rd party software was not interfering with this function. Our last step to clear any corruptions would be to complete a hard reset. Here is a direct link to the instructions. http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=49625 Please be sure to backup the data on your device before completing. Keep me updated on the status as I would be more than happy to continue troubleshooting if needed.
Thank You,
