why does a ringtone for a contact keep changing?
Is the Ringtone that's in Question one of the one's that in the Original List that came with the Phone or One you Found an put on the Phone like from an App Like Zedge.. b33
They are ringtones from Zedge. I used the same ringtones for a couple of
years on my old Droid X and never had a problem.

If your ringtone is stored on your external SD card, it may revert back. Best to put them on your internal memory.

I should of Caught that when i First Seen this I guess i was Tired Did you Take out your Card TBC out of your X an put it in your Razr if so you would need to Mount the Card or if that did not Work you would need to Un mount it Then Remount it. But if you did not Transfer the Card at all. You could Transfer your Songs or Ringtones Via your Blue Tooth if you Know How to Do it. from your X to your Razr. b33
I have all my ringtones, a mix of Android and Zedge including the tones that came with my Razr, all on internal storage. I haven't been able to move my songs and ringtones to my SD card and have things work correctly but that's another problem. That being said, my default ringtone and my different contacts' ringtones change every few days for no reason...? And they *all* change. It's completely random and sometimes, a ringtone is one of my songs off my playlist! It's like someone is shaking up my Razor and letting the tones fall where they may...Only had the Razr since April. What gives?
Well Andy it's kind of hard for me to explain i'll try: i'd say since the phones are different in there Memory setup's that might Cause the Issue when i Got My Maxx i strayed away from trying to move something from another because of Issues that can come up on ya. Now i'm not saying what you want to do can't be done. It's just has to be done in a Correct Way so that every thing flows an does not get Messed up. But i don't know the proper Way!
Maybe someone like Wildman or Demmo or Tidbits Could put some instructions on here an show you how to do this in a proper Way. But as for what your phone is doing.. Man i don't know. You might try Formatting the Card an starting over or leave what was in your X off of the Razr i just don't know..You might even have to do a Factory Reset..

I would recommend saving your files to your computer and then format your SD card using your current phone http://goo.gl/Qqvit this will clear any data conflicts in your SD card. Let us know if this resolves your concerns.
