Razr Maxx in Alaska

I'm stationed in Alaska and my family has Verizon.  The only issue I am having is since we are connected to the GCI network I cannot get any updates for my phones from Verizon.  Is there a link to download the latest official OTA updates to my computer so that I can manually update my phones?  The only other option I can think is to mail my phone to my parents but that would leave me without a phone for at least a week.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Even if you got a manual update for your phone, those updates tend to reset the phone to factory settings. Which means that you would still have to activate the phone again. As you know activating a Verizon Wireless phone in Alaska isn't possible at this time without knowledge of a manual programming method.

I don't know why but i was thinking that Verizon had full Network Services up in Alaska but i was wrong An i don't think at&t or sprint is up there either but back to your issue i was thinking when a new Update comes out they have the File of it on Droid-Life or Android Central.com an i assuming it would be the same as O.T.A..

AT&T has national coverage in Alaska. Verizon Wireless uses (at this time) a roaming partner for cellular coverage in Alaska. I don't know what Sprint has up there.
