Razr is too big!

I just got a new Razr Maxx (I upgraded from HTC Incredible) and my biggest complaint is that the phone is too big. I love the fact that it is thin but it's huge and especially more difficult to carry in one's pocket. If it was slightly smaller it would be perfect. If I wanted a gigantic screen, I would have purchased a tablet. Take note, Motorola!

You didn't know how large it is befor purchasing it? How would you encompass a screen that size w/o the device itself being the size that it is? I've had mine since December and have had no problem sticking it in a pocket of either my dress or casual clothes. You'll get used to it.

+1 the reason there is such a size difference is your going from a Incredible. to the Maxx i felt the Same it was Awkward for me at first as well give it you a few days but if it really bothers ya then do the Re-turn..

Motorla isnt going to take note that you dislike the phone, since you bought they will assume this is what people want.

There not going to take note they don't care the phone is not a one size fits all an some are going to warm up to it some will not. Could they have made it a little more narrow Maybe i would put odds to say it was made wider to cram all the stuff in it in one flat area. Were as a thicker but narrower body phone they can make it narrow an stack the boards in there..b33

I am a bit confused...  The screen size has been one of its main features marketed from day one..  If you dont like the size you have 14 days to return it and get a device that works better for you.

These are all valid points. I don't intend to return the phone. Overall I like it and the size isn't enough of a bother to return it. The main reason I got this one is the battery life. I was planning on waiting for the Incredible 4G and I think it will be excellent except I don't want to worry about poor battery life anymore.

I'm just saying if the Razr was slightly smaller on each side (somewhere between the original Incredible and current dimensions) and maintained its thin profile, it would be perfect in my opinion. I think phones are getting too big lately, and I suspect there are many others who would agree.

Wildman it is a bit confusing!  My maxx at times is a little awkward to hold but i found ways to do it though. I don't know how many times i almost dropped the little turd because of it's slick round edges a case can help but it makes it even more bigger but as you said that is what is was marketed for.

But one thing that give me a startle this Morning i let Maxx's battery go to were the Red light flashed i then powered her down as i always do an Hooked My Maxx to my Travel Charger at 5:00am it is a Motorola O.E.M charger i went to check on it at 11:30am an the Battery had not charged i don't know if this is a one time fluke or Not but it sure had my Attention..b33

you have 3 days to return it without any fee. you have 14 days to return it for a $35 restocking fee. do this and then look at the next device before you buy it. all of the specs (including screen size and overall size) are listed online as well, if you don't purchase your devices in stores. there are still some smaller devices out there, but most of the newer, top of the line devices, will have these larger screens. however, the new HTC Incredible (not sure when it is being released?) is only a 4 inch screen i believe, and would likely be more similar to what you had (your old incredible).

The larger screens are setting the standards .. A lot of iPhone users have been envious of the screen size - now to have the iPhone 5 coming soon with a 4" screen ..  (I still think the Razr Maxx will be a bit larger at 4.3" though). This was teh same size as my DX and honestly, web browsing is a joy with this screen. I carry mine in my pants pocket (with no case) and have never had a problem, so far. It is a bit slippier than the DX - and I've gotten used to that aspect of it (I grip it a little harder taking it out of my pocket so as to not let it slip out of my hand).

Cody21: IKR? I could swear sometimes the thing is slippier than a wet bar of soap. I got a case/holster combo like the $30 VZW sells and it's helped a lot.
