Is it possible to add German as a swype language for Razr--swype is preinstalled so I don't know what changes I can make. German is a supported language but Verizon only installed English and Spanish on Swype. I can use a regular keyboard for German but not Swype.
I'm not sure which version ROM you are on, but here is the solution for JB. Go into settings, language & input, select the settings next to the keyboard you want to change, go to Input languages, turn off Use system Language and then you can multi-select the languages you want to switch between. Thanks, but this isn't an option on my version--Razr M, 4.1.1. It won't let you turn off English on the Swype keyboard.
You need to turn off English as the default language in the settings. Then
you can choose any language you want.
This changes the default language for the menus and the AOSP keyboard, but not for Swype.
Oh, OK. Why not just use gestures on the stock keyboard? I prefer it to
Swype anyway.
Try the Kii keyboard. It's a Swype type keyboard that supports German.
