The Droid Razor Sucks!

Nobody told us before we got this phone that the battery life for this phone was next to nothing.  They lured us in with the style (thin) and the 4G features, but they forgot to mention that you would not be able to successfully use those "smart" features because your battery would die.  The battery life is advertised as having an 8-12 hour battery life, but on my phone, I'd be lucky if I got a solid 5 hours of talk and use of other "smart" features or internet.  They should have recalled this one!

Well, while I did not like the RAZR, myself, the phone was lauded by virtually everyone. As for the battery life, that seems to be pretty standard for a typical smartphone. Previously, before I got the extended battery for my Rezound, I was getting around 5-6 because I was using it for internet stuff and, if I included video streaming and playing music, then it decreased much quicker. The RAZR Maxx offer a greater amount of time with which you can use the phone, if you can exchange, or, under the same circumstances, you could move to another smartphone and invest in an extended battery.

The first thing to accept, despite everything, is that the battery life on smartphones will decrease substantially with everything that can be used.

not really, 8-12 hours probably in some circumstances but you appear to be using the phone with all of it's capabilities.

with 4g, talking/internet simultaneously, apps running in the background, updating continuously, pull the battery down quickly.

Yeah, I should have waited and checked reviews, etc.  but, I tend to like the droids.  I bought it back in February of this year when they ran the 2 for 1 special.  I guess you get what you pay for huh?  You can't exchange the battery on this one and I didn't hear about the Razor Maxx until recently.   It is a great looking phone, but I think VZ knows how these phones are, but they still lock you into their contracts and there's nothing you can do.  I am so annoyed with it all!
