I have been paying $60 per month for unlimited data. That includes $30 for my Droid Razr Maxx and $30 for unlimited tethering for my laptops. In the future, to maintain unlimited data, we will have to pay full retail price for upgraded phones if we purchase from Verizon. Today, that would be $650 instead of $200 for a Droid Razr Maxx (in round numbers). That's an additional $450 or an average of $18.75 per month amortized over 24 months. So the new cost of unlimited data for me is $78.75 per month. There is a point when this will become unaffordable.
