I have a razr maxx thsat runs ics. The update install reminder pops up every 12 hours or so. I would like to know if there is a way to turn off this reminder as my phone runs flawless on ics which is a amazing for any os. My phone had problems while on gingerbread and im reading of peoples problems with jb so ics is where i stop. Jesse

No, it will eventually do the update if you don't accept it. It's not optional.

I don't know if it will automatically update. Since it's asking your permission to do so, I would think they can't just do it. That being said, I recommend you just continue to refuse the update twice a day, for as long as you can. I got tired of seeing it after a couple weeks, and allowed the update. WHAT A MISTAKE!......My phone worked perfectly before the update. Now, a some of my apps don't work right anymore, it wiped out everything over 30 days old from my calendar, and my ringtones are all jacked up. I reset my ringtones, the next day all the settings are gone, and when I get a call, I get random ringtones (not even the same one every time). Avoid this update if at all possible!!

I had none of these problems because I did a factory reset and cleared the cache before doing the update. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Jelly Bean update.
