OK Verizon....People are getting irritated with the delay...All the tech websites and even yours states Marshmallow update is out for the droid turbo 2 (since 3/1), but no one is getting it. Where is it?
Good luck in getting a answer.
We have all been asking the same question for over a week now and keep getting conflicting information.
I do not know of anyone that has received Marshmallow. The Manual System Update (OTA) and the Verizon Software Upgrade Assistance tool (PC-USB) both do not work so it looks like it has not been released yet.
If it has been delayed, Verizon needs to tell us and update their web pages with the correct Marshmallow release date.
Yea I know...But nowhere does it say it's been delayed again...Im starting to wish I had not swapped from the iphone..
I am right now downloading the first update for getting ready for marshmallow. I will let you know when I finish downloading first update and then hopefully 2nd update will go with no problems and then I will have marshmallow.
Update available on my phone. Had to check for it in WiFi mode. It is downloading now!
My T2 has installed 23.31.24.en.us and is working on a system update now.
It has begun! My Turbo2 (which I just had checked earlier in the morning with no luck), just started downloading and installing the update!
I have Marshmallow Android 6.0 24.14.11.en.us
Mine is now updating...
Looks like everyone is getting the update. My update was around noon.
Here's what my phone did. It downloaded part 1 of 2 overnight and I found it had an update waiting for me this morning. So I ran it. Then it said it needed to download part 2, so I started it, and on WiFi it said it would take 20 minutes. Well, I didn't have that long, so I canceled the download thinking I was just do it at home tonight, which is right now. So now, the phone won't do it.I check for system update, and it says the software is up to date. Under last system update, it says "Software not updated to 24.14.11.en.US. Download canceled". So now I'm stuck at the part 1 of 2 step with no apparent way to get part 2.
I have the same problem. It says it was going to reboot and never did so when I checked the last system update it says download failed.
That's exactly what mine says. Factory reset the phone as well. On turned back on it still said update failed.
Same on my phone.
Verizon is looking like a bunch of idiots in my opinion. Release an update, pull an update, release an update, update fails?
Put your left foot in, take your left foot out, put your left foot in & shake it all about....
My phone says it failed. Several restarts and check for updates and nothing. Please help.
Lucked out, huge bug going on
How do you know about a bug going around?
Glad to know a factory reset doesn't work so I don't have to try it myself. Verizon got me all psyched to try Marshmallow just to pull the rug out. Downloaded part 2 but won't install. Phone says it failed but also says it's up to date.
Just chatted with Verizon support and was told that the Marshmallow update for Droid Turbo 2 is "on hold".
Thank you for letting us know. Thought it was just me with this problem with wife's phone. But I did my phone last week and it updated without any "apparent" problems. So I thought.
Ditto here. Can't get to the second download.
I wonder if there was an issue. The Motorola guy who usually announces these updates called it a soak test. Maybe something went wrong or this is the pause while they evaluated the devices returns that got the update. I’m pleased to announce we have started soak testing with the Android…
Well, it's been 2 weeks since my turbo 2 updated and I'm not pleased...My phone is slow, I keep getting the such and such app not responding. I have done a factory reset and tried reloading on certain apps, does not matter..All apps fully updated. Is anyone else seeing same problem? My phone did not do this before the 6.0 update...And yes I got both updates.
I haven't experienced any of those issues you've mentioned, however I don't like the update that much. My expectations were higher then what I'm experiencing. I'm already ready for 7.0 aka Android N
above response,
I heard 7.0 is early summer, May ish..I'm ready, I wonder if it can be DL now, anyone know?
Isn't that kinda unusual for android to make to update releases that close together? Especially full version updates.
