Video recorder App ?

Another question - Is there supposed to be a Video Recorder APP that can be dragged out onto the screen?  I used to have one called Camcorder (or VideoRecorder) on my DX ...  Can't seem to find such an APP on the Maxx  - only way to record Video seems to be through a Camera APP ..

I should of caught on to this faster Cody at the time i was Kind of busy but to your Answer ( No) the Video Camera is in with the Main Camera an when you are in there with Camera ON the front Facing Camera is up on top the [ Camera ] with a arrowed circle around it the settings are Basic but are pretty Good an if your in to taking a Bunch of pictures or HD movies i would Get one of those SD HD Cards Sally Suggested it has a Number 10 on it an it helps the way it take picture to produce better pictures an Movies an it might help in other places as Well. SallyC can give you more on the Statistics of the those Card. But the flash on it is real Quick an produces a good Night Picture..heck you can even video your self an send your mug to a love one or put it on YouTube. But all in all to me it works great it's not My Incredible i will admit but it's Very close.  Go out an have some fun with it Ok from ol.. B33

I guess I was just looking to drag&drop an APP icon to my screen for the CamCorder function - like I used to have on my DX .. Strange that they did away with that and now consolidated it in ONLY the Camera App.  (Actually, I have Vignette & CameraZoom FX).   Thanks

I'm not sure but it sounds like you are trying to place a shortcut on homepage, if this is what you are looking at have you tried opening app list and press and hold camera icon to have it drop on homepage?

Correct .. and I've already done that for the CAMERA app ... (since there is no longer a camera hard button on the Maxx).  what I'm looking for is the Camcorder APP that USED to be included in the APP drawer -- apparently no longer included in this OS version on my Maxx. (I see you drag it out of yours, but it doesn't exist on mine for some reason).  I know that I can get to the Camcorder function via the Camera APP itself, but that's a second step to get there.   Thanks

Oh, ok...  well my screenshot is from my Thunderbolt so that is difference.  Have you tried the add shortcut option after pressing on homepage? 

If that doesn't work try Any Cut (BetterCut replacement) and see if it gives you a option for this link..

Thanks for trying ... Yea, for some reason, no "CAMCORDER" in my App drawer anymore like I had before. And nothing in Shortcuts either ... strange that they would remove that ... oh well..

Cody have you took a picture with the front facing Camera it works pretty cool. Hey sally can you do video calling with the Maxx i was thinking you could but wasn't for sure.. i was thinking on skype or what ever there calling it..

Torgo & Cody21 - glad Mashcord works great and gives you no problems.

B33 - as far as I know, the Maxx is the same as the original Droid Razr (which is what I have) and support video calls just fine. I have used Skype but others use Google Talk or Tango.  So whatever works for you.

The only problem with the Camcorder Shortcut App mentioned above is that it only starts the low resolution camcorder used to send MMS messages.  Instead, search for "Mashcord" on Google Play.  This app is a shortcut that will start the full HD camcorder on your device.

I'm a little leery recommending an app with only 8 reviews.  Personally, I don't download apps to my phone with so few downloads and the last update was before the Razr even came out.  It might be safe and work fine....I'm just saying.
