Hard to explain this but here goes. I just got a new Razr Maxx and am just getting used to it after installing all my Apps. Using the stock MotoBlur, I Swipe between the 5 screens. What happens is a "glow" occurs at the top and bottom of the screens as the next screen comes up. Also, the colors of the Widgets or anything on that screen does this strange Dim-to-Bright and color adjustment thing ... very hard to explain - a video of it might be better, if I can post one. (I'll try that). Is this normal? If not, I need to get this swapped ASAP since it's new ...

I snapped a (crummy) video of the issue. What you'll see is this strange white-ish artifact that "glows" at the top of each screen as I swipe through them. And the 1st (mostly) WHITE block screen is actually my Calendar widget ... it literally goes very uncolored (WHITE) at first then "settles in" with the regular colors ... very strange.
well, just got back from a Verizon store ... Apparently this "glowing" artifact is a "feature" of these R-Maxx phones, unfortunately. One of the 2 things I dislike about the phone .. (the other one is the location of the Power button and not being able to wake it up w/o pressing that 1 button - would be nice if the HOME button would also wake it up.) I'll get used to it - I have to. 🙂
you will get use to the power button Cody hey have you tried a different wallpaper to see if that changes the Glowing
An i tried to see if i could see this in my maxx an there is a what i call a shadow affect as you Tile to the left or Right but i have seen this before Cody on Maxx's at the Stores so i think on that it's Ok it's just part of Moto Blur an if your Maxx hasn't got the latest Update that will change it a little when you Update it.

What UPDATE are you running? I checked and it said the usual " no update available"

yea, that's what I'm running ... and I use Extended Controls that includes a widget for adjusting brightness ... I set it to 40% most of the time - unless I'm in the car & the charger is connected - then 100% ... thanks
Cody i don't know if your into Fish or not but the App K.O.A fish pond from Kitteh Face is one of the most Coolest in Man Terms of a Live Wallpaper. An if you set it with Sands an Plants it Really looks Good an i think your Family would love it as well if you have little one i know they would like it. They just Updated it to were you can tap the Fish an they will scoot to Edge or under the the flowers or lily Pads. but the images are Quite stunning. The App is Free an for more Adjustments its cost $1.99 or $2.99.. But give it a look an see what you think..B33
Another thing i would do Cody i would go into the Display an turn down the level of brightness to about 10 to 15% an Uncheck the Automatic Brightness i did this an it maid a world's a Difference in it an in the Battery too...
