When I protect a text message, where is it saved to? I am going to upgrade my phone soon (from the Razr Maxx to the Galaxy s5) and want to make sure that I properly back-up my protected texts so that I don't lose them. Thanks!

Protected messages are saved on the phone; the 'protection' is that you can't delete them from the phone until you 'unprotect' them. To back up your texts and move them to a new phone, you'd want to use an app from the Play Store like SMS Backup and Restore.
