It's patience.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Let's just hope this update goes better than the others or we'll have as many threads complaining that Verizon broke their phone as there are threads wanting ICS.

I had a Droid X when Gingerbread was released and the update "bricked" my phone.  Verizon was great and replaced at no change, but it was still a royal pain in the a**.  That said, I had a galaxy nexus and traded for a razr because the nexus would not let me use the call feature on the phone.  Every call dropped.  They never, to the best of my knowledge" figured out if it was hardware or software. (I went through two phones and two sim cards).  I hope it was hardware or that the problem has been fixed if software.  Not sure I am as excited about this update as some others appear to be.

I always wait with cautious optimism for these updates, and I usually wait a few days to see how things go before I do mine. Of course, it always depends on circumstances, as my last phone (Fascinate) was bad on Froyo, so I immediately updated it to GB when it came out.

When this update comes out, I will be waiting and let others see how it goes, see what does/doesn't work, etc.

too late. there's already a thread from the ONE person i've seen here that got it. it broke his ability to mms. it won't resize the pic.....and the lowest setting on the cam is 6mp, which is way to large to send. so currently, he cant mms a pic, whether old pic or one that he will take in the future.

Yes, it is sent to a select group to test it, and if everything goes well, it "should" be released to the general public later this week. Now, that being said, when it is released to everyone it will be done in waves, so even though it may be released on a certain date, you may or may not get it for a few days or more after that.

You can always just install ICS yourself...there are several websites that tell you how to do it.

You can always return it to factory settings if you have a warranty issue.

Looks like the actual update.zip is available.  Probably wouldn't touch it with others having issues with the OTA rollout though.

ahh...ok. i thought we were talking about another route. and i wouldn't touch it either. the thing about updates is that we wait for months on them. i never have any problem waiting an extra week or two for the masses to test it out for me. i've seen ONE person on this forum that got it.....with an issue. i don't like those odds.

Do you belong to the required Motorola forum groups, and did you request to be part of the "Soak" team? The length of time that you have had your device has no bearing on releases...

I talked to Verizon last night. They said the official date date 06-22-12 and that by the 29th it will be available for pull if you have not received it yet.
