Click on apps at bottom of front page and then find it. Long press on it and a box of options will appear then click uninstall, this is quickest way

You can't uninstall Netflix .. it's one of the pre-installed APPS (bloatware).

No problem ...  BTW, you know that you can HIDE apps that you don't want to have in your main APPs folder, as well as create New individual Folders for your Apps, right?

Netflix is a pre installed and cant be removed but If the app wont update or open then the installation sounds like it may got corrupt.

Try clearing the data from the app by going to Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / All Tab / Netflix / Clear Data and also Clear the Cache if it is highlighted and then reboot..  It should be able to run and update, if not then a hard reset will be the only way to get it working but if you dont plan to use the app I would do like suggested....  Just Hide It..
