droid razar screen black out can't get it back but can hear? touch screen not working

my droid razar has been having many isses with the touch screen stops working, I have to turn it all the way off frequently to re boot it. today I can't even get it to turn off to do this. In additon a problem with the alarm If I don't hit the right spot (can't see without my glasses) I have to turn it all the way off to get it to stop. these are pibutt problems.

Did doing a Soft Reset Help Resolve the Issue.?

Yikes klieth. Let's get that phone working! A soft reset is a good idea, which you can do by pressing and holding your volume down & power button for about 10 seconds (since you can't see anything on the screen and can't remove the battery on a RAZR).

As for the alarm, are you using a third party app from the market place or the basic pre-installed app? I would suggest trying to reset the application http://bit.ly/PPUTwr, once you get your phone to boot back up of course. It's also good to make sure all the running apps are stopped on the phone http://bit.ly/SOZ0M4 for it to run smooth.
