My phone keeps displaying message: 2 items waiting to upload. Remote computer is offline.

I have been unable to find or open the two messages and the remote computer is online. If I snap a picture it automatically gets uploaded to my PC. I'vew tried reboot of both PC and phone, resetting both Dropbox apps and the message persists.

Any ideas out there?

What were the conditions when the message first appeared?.

Are you sure it is about two messages? Or is it about two pictures? Could there be an app upgrade that got interrupted?

As far as I can tell the message appeared after several pictures were uploaded. It continues to appear and reads exactly as I entered in my question with the exception that it also reads: Tap to continue. Tapping doesn't clear the message. I can't find the two "items" and the upload icon continues to appear on my screen.
