If anyone finds out how I can remove the city id please let me know! In the meantime I am filing a complaint with the FCC. I told Verizon I consider this harrassment! My free trial ended a year ago and at that time I opted out. All of a sudden 2 weeks ago I started getting messages on my phone and I only have the option of "now" or "later". If I select "now" it starts going through the process of me selecting the feature! By selecting "later" or pressing "end" it just keeps coming back. They know I mean it when I say I'm filing a report with the FCC because I've done it before. The FCC makes them answer the complaint!

City ID after x amount of calls or days will finally give you the option to remove if you do not want it. Others, as they help you get a phone at a discounted price are there to stay, but you can delete the icon.

FCC does not care one iota about the issue and have stated as much

Budone i was thinking it was an Uninstallable app but now that you mentioned it!   And the fact that it's not on my Maxx anymore   it did drop off or will Sometime Soon! Lol  this is to much for for a Dude to remember b33

It is basically a advance caller Id app that can read the phone numbers data transmitted from phone company and also search for additional info about contact.

Yes, I have Reverse Lookup Plus installed.  Nice app. I mostly use it to look up spam calls on my land line!  Even though I'm in the Do Not Call registry I get all these calls from the politicians who made themselves exempt to off shore companies trying to sell me drugs! 

Thanks for the info.  But if it's not a non-removable stock app, I'm still a bit puzzled as to why the OP can't remove it.

I did some research to try to find the company that sold the original CallID app and it appears that they fell of the market, I am assuming that since there was so many complaints about the app they might have removed it from the device when they updated firmware, this is my guess..
