it is over an hour and still downing.... is this normal

it is over an hour since download of lollipop began is this normal

its late and i don't feel like waiting any longer

can I just put it on charge and leave it over night?

Yes, put it on the charger and let it download.  There are A LOT of people getting this update, so, it's going to be slow most likely.
