phone went black only menu on bottom (Home) (Return) (search) stays lit.....how can i reset this phone if nothing is working?
try doing a soft reset, holding the power and volume down and it should restart
it won't erase anything, its like taking the battery out
Is there any difference at all between doing this or a battery pull?
not really, but you can't pull the battery on a Razr Maxx
