When will we be seeing this happen for us? I coukld really use it at work since I have no signal and was so happy to see it was going to happen and now I just wait, and wait , and wait..
we even have marshmallow and still we wait.

Was going to ask the same thing. I preferred the Droid over the S6 but now wondering if I should have gone Samsung due to wireless calling feature.

Even if they did, you are not going to like the answer. Which is "We have no information. Check the news center for updates."
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

You won't get an answer other than for them to point you to either their news page: Verizon Wireless News Center
Or to the supported WiFi Calling device page: Smartphones | Verizon Wireless
Could be their silence on the issue means that all 13 phones that currently have WiFi calling is all the current phones who will get WiFi calling. I would love for them to give a solid answer on if those phones, like phones from Motorola, that are not currently listed will ever receive WiFi Calling. My guess is that they are only activating WiFi Calling on their flagship phones and everyone else, including those who recently bought phones will be left out in the cold. The WiFi Calling will be a selling feature to a select few (probably more expensive) phones.

I would consider the Turbo 2 Verizon's flagship phone since you can not purchase it from any other carrier. It is exclusive to them.

It may be exclusive to VZW but generally the Motorola line isn't a big seller, rather Apple, Samsung, LG are the top sellers and as such unsurprisingly the recent phones from those brands are the ones that currently support WiFi calling. There is a single phone, from HTC, other than phones from Apple, Samsung and LG on the supported WiFi Calling page (Smartphones | Verizon Wireless).
Chart is a bit dated but shows the breakdown form q1 last year.

The problem is it just got approved not long ago. Wi-Fi calling requires additional testing. T-Mobile the first carrier to offer it worldwide had growing pains and in their first year of approval had 1 device that supported it. The following year 6. A lot of their older devices never seen Wi-Fi calling. All carriers in their fist year were pretty selective and majority of the older devices did not get an update to add Wi-Fi calling.

it does not change the fact this is a Verizon exclusive and a flagship phone. should be treated better then has been.

Does not change the fact the FCC only recently approved them. Doesn't change the fact carriers don't touch the code like people think. Manufacturers admitting multiple times carriers have less control than people think they do.

It is really no longer "recently" that the FCC approved the WiFi calling for Verizon. They gave Verizon the green light last November. Eight months ago. Currently there are only 14 phones of 29 current phones VZW sells that are listed as supporting WiFi Calling. Currently there are still no Moto phones are listed. VZW obviously has some sort of roadmap of phones they will be enabling this feature on. It would be nice (but I know it will probably never happen) if VZW indicate which phones (or entire brands), including those that they stopped selling within the past six months to a year, they do not plan on enabling the WiFi calling option so customers can make informed decisions.

Your post seems to gloss over previous statements in this thread.
For example, the first carrier to offer wifi calling, T-Mobile, only had ONE(according to a previous post) phone in the first year they offered it. Verizon currently has FOURTEEN(according to you) and are still in their first year!!! T-Mobile had SIX phones in the second year they offered it. Verizon is still in its first year of offering it and already has MORE THAN DOUBLE THAT AMOUNT!
The MANUFACTURERS have to change the code on the phones in order for the phone to allow wifi calling. Verizon DOES NOT alter the code on the phone. They simply push out the updates when available. If no Moto Phones are listed, possibly it is because Lenovo is busy working on their new Droid phones instead of working on pushing out an update on an older phone.
While many phones do not have seamless wifi calling it IS available on most phones via Verizon Message+ which IS code that Verizon writes. Keeping this in mind, Verizon HAS provided code on the phone in order to use wifi calling, albeit in a round about way. Unfortunately that is the ONLY type of code on the phone which Verizon writes and has control over regarding release timing and it IS already available on your Droid Turbo 2.

It would appear I may have touch a nerve, if so sorry that was not my intention. I was not glossing over anything previously mentioned in the thread, just making some observations (which may have been misinterpreted). As previously observed, VZW must have some sort of internal roadmap as to which phones will be receiving their touted/marketed WiFi Calling feature. A little bit of communication or update on the feature rollout might be beneficial to VZW's customers or to potential customers.

There is no roadmap. They don't touch code like the media spits out. They may have one if they touched the code. You do have Wi-Fi calling as previously mentioned. Just not integrated and through the message+ app. If you want it integrated then it's up to Lenovo to complete the integration.

this statement is not true, I have tried to use it on my turbo2 and it does not work. I though I hadgotten it to work at one time but currently it does not work.
Message+ does not give my phone wifi calling

FYI no carrier gave any news about which devices got Wi-Fi calling. Only that it is coming to devices. Eventually at some point it will be a standard feature that no matter the device you buy will have it.

No nerve touched so no need to apologize, I don't really care. I was simply pointing out facts which you had failed to mention in your post, contrary to your position.
About that roadmap, since Verizon does not write code for the phones to make it compatible, it would be hard for them to say whether or not a specific phone was in the MANUFACTURER'S plan to provide code for that phone to receive an update making it wifi calling compatible. MANUFACTURERS who have at least one phone with wifi calling would appear able to make their previous phones able to facilitate the function. Whether or not they intend to do so would be up to them and not necessarily information they have passed on to Verizon.
Yes, it would be beneficial, but you are assuming Verizon has that information. It would be more beneficial to "current" customers. For "potential" customers, it would seem if they thought the feature is important, they would purchase a phone which ALREADY has the feature instead of one which doesn't and also does not have a "roadmap" of when/if it would get an update to make it compatible.
