Can't redeem my Verizon Dollars to my bill

I am writing to express my HUGE frustration with the process of redeeming Verizon Dollars towards my bill. I’ve spent several days and countless hours on the phone trying to sort this out, but no one at Verizon seems to know how to redeem it. Despite multiple transfers (every time I called!), no one has been able to help me, and I’m left without a resolution.
I’ve tried using MyVerizon.com, the My Verizon app, and the Verizon Visa Card app—my Verizon Dollar balance is shown in the App (I have a screen shot), however, I cannot redeem them towards my bill, and here are the specific issues I’ve encountered:
- When I click the redeem button next to my verizon dollar balance, in the app, it just takes me to the verizon visa card advertisement, not the redemption page (what a joke!)
- There is no option to use Verizon Dollars to pay bills on the website.
- Despite numerous phone calls and online chats, no one seems to know anything about how to redeem Verizon Dollars for verizon bill payments.
- One time, during the phone conversation, it escalated to an advisor, who even suggested I go to a local store, which seemed like an easy way to get rid of me — extremely unprofessional.
It’s incredibly disappointing to have spent so much time on this with no resolution. Verizon advertises the Verizon Visa Card rewards heavily, yet the system doesn’t work as promised. This should be a straightforward credit card reward redemption, not a hassle. I have also seen so many similar complains on the internet and reddit and also here -- someone up in the management level should look into this - otherwise, I am afraid that BBB/FCC and/or lawyers would start look into this if it remains so difficult to redeem the promised rewards.
I expect Verizon to fulfill their promise and fix this issue immediately.

That doesn't help if there is no sign of the option to use Verizon Dollars. It disappeared from my account.

When did you notice the option disappeared? Can you please try clearing your app/browser history and try again. Make sure your phone is running on the most current software as well.

This is happening to us as well. It says we have $95 on the credit card app but when we click on redeem it's says we have $0 on the next page. Why is it so hard to use?

There is a chance that the issue is at the ownership/manager permission level on the account. Are you the only person on the account? We are having this problem and I think it's because the account is wonky as to who has ownership and manager permission. Try making sure you are set up as owner on the website (not on the account -- Verizion owner is the name on the bill). This is at the website permissioning level. Good luck. I have had a similar experience with Verizon systems being deficient, and their Reps not knowing how to help.
