I am writing to express my HUGE frustration with the process of redeeming Verizon Dollars towards my bill. I’ve spent several days and countless hours on the phone trying to sort this out, but no one at Verizon seems to know how to redeem it. Despite multiple transfers (every time I called!), no one has been able to help me, and I’m left without a resolution.
I’ve tried using MyVerizon.com, the My Verizon app, and the Verizon Visa Card app—my Verizon Dollar balance is shown in the App (I have a screen shot), however, I cannot redeem them towards my bill, and here are the specific issues I’ve encountered:
- When I click the redeem button next to my verizon dollar balance, in the app, it just takes me to the verizon visa card advertisement, not the redemption page (what a joke!)
- There is no option to use Verizon Dollars to pay bills on the website.
- Despite numerous phone calls and online chats, no one seems to know anything about how to redeem Verizon Dollars for verizon bill payments.
- One time, during the phone conversation, it escalated to an advisor, who even suggested I go to a local store, which seemed like an easy way to get rid of me — extremely unprofessional.
It’s incredibly disappointing to have spent so much time on this with no resolution. Verizon advertises the Verizon Visa Card rewards heavily, yet the system doesn’t work as promised. This should be a straightforward credit card reward redemption, not a hassle. I have also seen so many similar complains on the internet and reddit and also here -- someone up in the management level should look into this - otherwise, I am afraid that BBB/FCC and/or lawyers would start look into this if it remains so difficult to redeem the promised rewards.
I expect Verizon to fulfill their promise and fix this issue immediately.
