Face ID App Access is GONE!!!?!?

Is it just me, or did the option to utilize Face ID for access to the MVA just disappear two updates ago??? The option to turn it on is nowhere in the app profile or settings and it’s definitely no longer in the Face ID settings within my iPhone, so I’m a bit annoyed and perplexed.  I now have to re-enter my credentials every single time I open the app and this is unacceptable.  They just updated their interface and colors and it’s still nowhere to be found.

Hi Jcoop269, I can't remember passwords these days to save my life, so I get the benefits of Face ID, fortunately this option is still very much alive and well for our app. Please make sure you have the latest OS update for your device and the app and then follow the steps here: https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-215923/

I assure you it’s not there.  If I could post pics, I’d show you the entire profile and settings page…Face ID or Touch ID are not an option anymore…they used to be but are no longer there.  I have the latest and greatest, just updated a few hours ago to the new color scheme and all.  iPhone 15 Pro Max.

No worries, jcoop269. We'll get this figured out. We actually have the same phone, and I just double-checked my own app and confirmed Face ID log in is still available. To confirm, what troubleshooting have you tried? Have you deleted and reinstalled the My Verizon app?

Um...the OP said the problem started happening 2 updates ago, so their phone must surely be up to date?

It's not you! Same issue on two phones.  Utilized Chat "for a faster response" and got bounced from AI, to live agent who rendered all the usual troubleshooting fixes, which of course did not work; then, finally upgraded to a upper tier rep who once again had to be convinced that I had accomplished all the troubleshooting steps correctly on two phones. Referred to other department for troubleshooting.  They'll get back to me.

I pay a lot of money to Verizon, but there applications and tech support are the worst. Keep it simple, keep it useful, and make sure it works! Rant over. I await a fix.

Did you try the fixes in the article link I'd posted above?  From what I've read in the forums, I doubt anyone is going to call you back.  It sounds more like someone was passing the buck.

I am a Verizon customer and I recently replaced my phone due to a physical issue with the insurance company, when I set up the app again I have not been able to use Face ID anymore I have to enter my password and a six number pin every time I open the app

Oh, no! Dealing with equipment issues can be frustrating, especially if the Face ID feature is not working. Verizon is here to help.

When did the problem start? Aside from the replacement, what other changes have been made? Aside from the Face ID, any other issues?

I think Verizon should update this app to fix this, I've also tried it on my mom's iPhone and it doesn't work either

Hello folks, same issue is here, after upgrading to new Verizon app, biometric authentication is gone. Somehow I feel it happened after I enabled “One Verizon ID”. Did you folks also enable it?

Verizon team needs to definitely fix the app. It’s really annoying to login again and again using password.

I am also using iPhone 15 Pro Max with latest iOS

The solution that keeps being presented does not work. The option to enable face id is gone - not there. It's a real pain to have to enter user name and password all the time.  I have face id enabled in several other apps and it works great but I can't even enable the option in the my verizon app

We appreciate the additional information and we understand the convenience of utilizing  Face ID. Can you share with us what options do show for you when using the steps shared in the link below? Is your My Verizon App on the most up to date version?

Under Securirty my options are listed below (I did open each I did not see an option to enable face id).

Options:  User ID; Two-factor Authentication; Account security; Voicemail password; Number Lock; Number Transfer pin; Voice ID; One Verizon ID

Keep in mind I went into each option to see if there was an option to enable face id and there was none.

Yes it's the latest - I was able to use face id in the prior app.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried the tips from the link I'd posted in page 1 of this thread?

Thanks for trying to help, but this is not the problem.  The problem is Verizon's app.  Face ID is working fine for everything single other aspect of my phone, it's literally just the Verizon app not even showing the option to enable a biometric login.

I did. The issue is the app and not the phone or updated operating system
