How do I find the compass on the Verizon app?

How do I find the compass on the Verizon app? That I use to walk around the house and find where the best signals coming from.

Great question! From the My Verizon app, you would need to pick the Home option under Account. From here you would go to the "Manage Home" option, then select "Manage Equipment". Once there, you would pick the option that says "Want to move the Internet Gateway?" and the compass will be under that selection.

We definitely want you to have access to this. The signal finder can be accessed through the MyVerizon app or directly through the Verizon Home app.  https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-303197/

  • I followed the directions the Verizon rep supplied and there is no option for Want to move the Internet Gateway. 
  • There are new cell towers in my area and I'd like to see if there is a better signal for my gateway.

As of 8/8/2025, Verion seems to have removed this feature from the app.

Oh Good, Verizon is now telling us "cannot reproduce issue, closing ticket." Great. I can't find the 5G Compass either and my speeds are garbage (30.39 Mbps down, 19.19 up). It looks like this little experiment is going to end in a return.
