Verizon credit card has submitted 2 ACH request for the same bill, even after getting paid from the first submission

Hello, Verizon credit card website has issues, their customer service is useless, for anything they say, they can't help).  Here is my current situation, I schedule payment for on 31, funds to be withdrawn 2 days later for my monthly verizon credit card payment. Synchrony instead of drawing funds on schedule time, they immediately submitted ACH request to my bank and with drawn funds. Amazingly they submitted another ACH transfer for the same bill (that I already) paid 3 days later. When I called synchrony (both Chat, and phone), they refused that it is even a problem. I literally had to scream at them to even listen and investigate the problem. Finally they say I am getting charged twice but they can't help even though they got the payment, so I asked them to cancel the latest one since it is a ACH request. To this they say they can't? even though this is clearly their problem. How can anyone charge twice for the same bill, even after getting the payment before time?  I am having nothing but problems with this card and the only reason I have this card is because of verizon mobile! anyone else have experience this problem and also does Verizon even care to fix issues like this?

Wow.  I'm pretty sure I've read about this before, so you're not the only one.  It sounds like there's a disconnect between manually scheduled payments and autopay.  If you want to schedule a payment yourself every month, you'll need to shut off autopay in your account to prevent the double payment thing.  Doing your own payments forfeits the autopay discount, so better to let the autopay kick in every month.

I'm a little confused about your mentioning a credit card as well as ACH transactions.  If your credit card is billed erroneously, you should be able to dispute the charges with the credit card company.  An ACH transaction is a direct deposit or withdrawal of funds from a checking or savings account?  If you were using one payment method for the payment you set up yourself, but have autopay set up with a different payment method, try using the same payment method for either the manual payments and the autopay.
