Was so excited to open my new iPhone 14 pro max. Opened the FedEx box and the iPhone box inside was torn open and EMPTY!
Verizon opened a “ticket” but says they need a week to “process” something. (???) Seems awfully simple, someone stole the iPhone out of the FedEx box somewhere in transit.
Tried to file a complaint with FedEx but they said Verizon has to initiate the claim. Then called Verizon and they told me to initiate the claim that FedEx says Verizon MUST initiate. Very concerned.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I have the same situation. Wondering how it was resolved and what's up with FedEx? Package was damanved just enough for someone to take the phone and leave the case/screen protector that was in it. Now I'm waiting for Verizon to call me back so they can file the claim since I can't (according to FedEx) Only the shipper can.

1- it’s not uncommon.
2-take the box and packaging to your nearest Verizon store. Have the store *manager* call Verizon on your behalf.
Don’t even try to resolve it on your own. I spent hours and hours with on the phone with customer service and was never transferred to a manager. Just given the runaround and transferred to other reps and even hung up on. I was told they’d get back to me in 2-3 weeks! Just to wait and see what happens.
The next day, I went to the Verizon store. The store manager was able to contact someone who could actually help me out and they resolved it for me.
Verizon still messed up the billing royally. All my promotions were removed for some reason. Then I was charged for 2 phones, on and on.
3-do not give up. Go into the store and have the store call in for you. Until it is resolved satisfactorily.
4-If they give you the runaround, ask to be compensated for your time and effort. I spent close to 30 hours trying to fix the situation.
