I ordered a phone on Friday Aug 11. The myverizon shipping confirmation says that the phone will arrive by 8pm Aug 15 (2 business days) and this is perfectly ok.
Backstory: I require a phone in order to run my business and I'm ordering a new one bc the functions I need to run my business are no longer working on my current phone due to damage. Also, the phone I want to buy isn't available in any stores near me. This guaranteed shipping time of Aug 15 will make me take two days off work, but I'm ok with that.
Here's the problem: I have some extreme deadlines coming up with work and the status of the phone still says "ordered." It hasn't been processed or shipped yet and somehow it's supposed to arrive today, the 15th. Then I jump online and find that this is a common issue. If the shipping confirmation would've told me UP FRONT that shipping times were lagging then I would've had the chance to make the informed decision to drive over an hour to get the phone in a store somewhere else. But I was willing to give it the two days for shipping, not knowing that this was both a LIE and a KNOWN PROBLEM that has yet to be addressed on the shipping page of the web store.
Since this is putting me out of work extra days that I wasn't made aware of up front, I'm more than a little upset. This is unacceptable!

I am also having the same issue with my order, but I did next-day shipping and still haven't had any update on shipping. I also am unable to use the live support chat because it keeps telling me to login even after I already have. Really hope I can get some response on an ETA.

Update: The phone I ordered was shipped out at 5:15pm on Aug 15, the day it was supposed to ARRIVE. The new eta is 7pm on Aug 17. I know this sounds like no big deal, it's just 2 days difference, but this known problem has forced me to close my business for 4 days. Quantitatively, that's $1000 of income I have lost due to their negligence ($25/hr is what I charge clients, I work 10hr days). Verizon knew of this problem and chose not to take action to notify buyers, this is UNACCEPTABLE.
My family has had a Verizon plan for over a decade consistently and Verizon doesn't seem to care. I haven't seen any response from them, and I noticed that they only addressed half of the people who've brought it up.
Again, as a company valued at $139.87Billion Verizon should be capable of adding a simple notice to their web store so that us little people don't have to lose our businesses over a problem that has already been brought to their attention multiple times. This is neglect.

When did you receive your order? Mine was supposed to be here today and it still hasnโt shipped and nobody can tell me any information about it. Iโm very frustrated.
