Lost Package no support

Ordered an Apple TV 4K for sale price of 89.99. Package was lost in shipping. After a month of phone calls with both Verizon and UPS and being told multiple times that I would be able to get a replacement once the shipment was processed as missing, I am now informed that I would need to pay the full price of 129.99. 

Because I am a Visible (owned and operated by Verizon) customer support cannot save notes about my case(s) and cannot adjust the price to the previous agreed upon price. 

Why does Verizon let non Verizon subscribers purchase items from their store if they refuse to support them?
