2 step verification code texts

We just ported our numbers over from AT&T and are not receiving the 2 step verification code texts I need to log in to most of my apps. My new phone is an iPhone 14. Help!

Hello, catdet, we're glad to hear that you were able to join the Verizon family. When did you port your number to Verizon? Are you receiving incoming calls and text otherwise?

We just ported today.  The only texts I seem to be receiving are iMessages.  I was able to make an outgoing call to my non-iphone daughter, but when she tried to call me back it wouldn't go through.

Went back to the Verizon store, and even they had to call Customer Service to figure it out. Turns out it had to do with our AT&T account number.  It was a combined billing account and not just the wireless. Everyone was very helpful and our phones seem to be working now!
