Blacklisted phone

Hi, my phone has gotten blacklisted by mistake. The other day my friend who has service through Verizon phone wasn't working right. Before he knew his phone had been blacklisted he put my sim card into it to test it, and know that it's back in mine. I'm also having the same issues. I'm with straight talk and for some reason it another they say it isnt, and all I need is a new sim. Well after I got one and it's still not working, and on top of that I looked it up and yes it seems it's been blacklisted as well. My phone has not had no order to be put on the blacklist and I really need it taken off so i can use my phone like im supposed to be able to. Please help me in removing my phone off the blacklist Verizon. Thank you so much

Straight Talk uses Verizon's network, but they are an entirely different company with their own SIM/eSIM cards. If you try to put a Straight Talk SIM into a Verizon phone, it won't work because it is considered a different carrier. Not sure why your SIM got corrupted just by putting it into your friend's phone.

To request a blacklist removal, you must be the original owner of the phone and call your carrier (in your case, Straight Talk) to request the removal.

I did and have been for the last 7 days. They told me my phone was blacklisted to and I need to get a new phone. Let's just say I won't be a straight talk customer after this months plan runs out. Worst customer service I've ever had to deal with.

Every time I've had to call or get transferred to a higher department, it's like starting all over from scratch. None of there employees actually know anything about a cell phone or how any of it works. There just sitting at there reading off a computer screen every single word they say to you. It's really a joke, but straight talk values there customers enough to actually get them some help. Took 7 days for them finally to admit my phone was blacklisted because of what happen when I put my sim back in after being in a blacklisted phone. Now all they have to say is, you need to buy a new phone. MY PHONE WASN'T EVER SUPPOSE TO BE BLACKLIST! Oh that's after 6 days of troubleshooting for things they knew wouldn't work if it was blacklisted and telling me to go buy a new sim like I did and of course that didn't work either. I'll never get another straight talk service plan as long as I live.

Sorry to hear of your experience, but unfortunately overseas call centers are the norm now that US call centers can't compete with them on operating expenses. Verizon and T-Mobile are no exception in my experience. If you are looking for another budget carrier to use, the one which is named for a type of candy consistently gets high ratings. Be warned that if T-Mobile doesn't provide good service in your area, "Candy Carrier" won't work either because they are piggybacking on T-Mo's network.
