Failure to Deliver on Verizon Initiated Upgrade

Has anybody else received an email on, or about, August 20th, 2024 stating the Verizon will be sending upgraded set-top boxes and routers for NO CHARGE because your current set-top boxes are about to expire?  I received this in an email as well as a physical letter sent through the USPS. No equipment was ever received. I then received an email on October 15th, 2024 asking if I have activated the new equipment....which I had never received. I connected with customer service to discuss on Oct 19 and then again on Nov 3, still with no equipment. Now they want to charge me shipping, even though it was supposed to be NO CHARGE and they have said I need to change my plan for the new equipment.

Anyone else dealing with this? Does anybody know which Verizon entity to use when contacting the Better Business Bureau and the NJ State Division of Consumer Affairs to report this un-ethical practice and dis-honest scheme? How many other people are out there dealing with this same issue? Maybe we need to form a group and get legal counsel.
