My son bought an unlocked iPhone and my sister added it to her plan. Later, when she removed it Verizon marked it as lost or stolen. My son can't activate his $500 phone because it is marked stolen by Verizon. It isn't even a Verizon phone. My sister called and Verizon was supposed to take it off the list but it still can't be activated because it still says lost or stolen. What can we do?

Your sister will have to keep trying to contact someone at Verizon who knows how to remove the blacklisting on the phone as only the original owner of the phone can request a blacklist removal. There have been a number of threads just in the past few days I've seen of people who have somehow had phones get locked/blacklisted by some IT glitch with Verizon. If all else fails, your sister will have to contact the FCC and file a complaint with them to get the phone unlocked.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
