I have been living a nightmare. Last Wednesday I called Verizon to swap phones on my account. Three people and almost 6 hours on the phone later could not swap phones. On Thursday I went to the local store and had a sales person tell me no problem, it will only take about 10 minutes. He and I spent over 2 hours on the phone with Verizon because 2 of the people I had talked to on Wednesday had put pending codes on my account. The person on the phone said she could not do anything because of the pending codes and it takes 24 hours to remove the codes. She told the sales person and me that she would call me Friday and she would take care of it. She told me I needed to stay at home Friday because I needed a live line to perform the swap. I stayed at home all day Friday, but she never called. I waited until Monday to go back to the local store and got another sales person that told me no problem, it will only take about 10 minutes. Almost 2 more hours on the phone with Verizon and was told they could not swap phones because of the codes on my account and that she put in a claim on my account that would take 3 to 5 days to clear the codes on my account. I have had my account with Verizon for over 16 years and never delt with anything like this before. A full week and over 10 hours on the phone to perform a 10 minute function. I am about done with Verizon.

Hello, Kidmenot1961. My apologies to hear of this experience as the last thing we'd want to see is you leaving us. Since the attempt to swap devices, have you received any word back on the pending code/ticket? Please let us know.
