I am posting this in the hopes that Verizon will finally do something about its 5G service and overall service. After all, they spend more than enough time tooting their horn about how “reliable” their service is.
While vacationing in southern NJ the past few years, in the Stafford Township area, it is impossible to get on the internet or send a text message. This is a heavily populated area. I have an iPhone 12 as do my wife and three kids. I’ve called Verizon twice the past two summers and the first time I was told there was a system problem (lie) and this year they acknowledged that the 5G service in this particular area is limited and they need to upgrade the towers, 5G, etc.
The Verizon person told me to take my phone off on 5G and run on LTE. Really? Think about that….
What if everyone that was having the same issue and continues to have the same issue only paid half of their bill each month?
I have been a customer for over 20 years. Really getting tired of Verizon, who keeps increasing their rates. Just this morning I checked in on upgrading my phone and the particular offer was only valid if I changed plans to a more expensive plan. Greed is good for Verizon.
Now I’ll be contacted with a canned apology from someone…blah…blah…blah

Hey Bigfoot6681, I know how important it is for my family to stay connected while on vacation, and I know I would be upset if I was getting mixed information about what was happening in a certain area. Data is something I use mainly, and I know that I would want mine to work while on vacation (texting between iPhones uses data as well, which would be impacted). Please be on the lookout for a private note from us so we can better assist.

I reacently upgraded to 15 pro max. I was told you have 5 G service available, had it on my old 12 in my home. Now being told need to up grade plans for $20 per month per phone for ultiment ultimate plan. Will have top notch coverage. Ok so transfer of phone is complete, two bars now in my home LTE, not five 5G. Spent two plus hours resetting network settings and all that fun stuff that makes you want to pull your hair out. Two hours later told yes you have 5G coverage but some times flips back and fourth. I am sitting same place in my home where my 12 had 5G. Long story short basically was told you can access data, make a call. And even though was force to pay $20 extra a month, basically ( not reps fault) but go pound sand. Verizon needs to deliever on what they promote, company always talks about integrty should start internally first with them. I am going to contact PUC so this does not continue to happen to others, we paytoo much for false promises.

Allpromisepaymoregetless, we're sorry to hear that you're having problems with your phone showing 5G. Apart from your phone showing 5G, are you having any problems with your calls, texts, or data? What download and upload speeds are you getting on your devices? You can check this by going to Google and searching "speed test". This'll help us get an idea of what's going on.
