The one and only time this happened with my phone (I have a different make and model entirely), restarting the phone worked. My phone was NOT in SOS mode at the time, simply glitched with my old carrier for whatever reason.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

What exactly happens when you try to make/receive a call (dead air, busy signal, error message, etc.)? When did the problem start? What recent changes have you made (relocated, new phone, software update, etc.)? Any other issues (texts or data)?
