Data Usage Overage Does not make sense

There is no way I am going over my data limit and due to the fact that my mother-in-law is having the same issue tells me that Verizon Wireless is trying to force customer's with older data plans to move and pay more by charging us fraudulent overage charges. I work from home one hundred percent of the time and I have not used my mifi in weeks, so there is no way I am going over my data limit.
