Don't consistently receive text messages from contact using an iPhone on the ATT network

One of my most frequently used contacts uses an iPhone on the ATT network.  I upgraded to a Samsung S24 late last fall and I now only sporadically receive text messages from this contact.  I found most of the text messages they sent to me in my spam email folder with no content?  Is the problem on my Verizon/Samsung 24 android end or on their ATT/iPhone end? Thanks in advance for any insight/help.
