Dropping service and SOS

For the past several weeks my phone keeps dropping service and all I see is SOS, same thing for my son and my husband’s  phone. We have different phones (Apple and Samsung). If we turn on the phone on airplane mode or turn it off and then back on it will pick up a signal but it doesn’t last for long. It’s super frustrating as we miss calls and texts as well.  For 300 bucks a month we should have service. Does anyone have a fix for this??

Add my service to this ever growing list of customers having this issue for well over a year now from what I have researched on the forum here. Our devices started doing this about 2 months ago.

I have 8 devices with service. I am having issues with 3 iPhones. The issue is always at my residence. All iPhones are iPhone X and all are running on the current iOS. Numerous times throughout the day the service will completely stop. The devices lose all bars. Can put the phone in airplane mode and take it back off airplane mode and will get one bar then boom 4-5 bars back. No rhyme or reason as to when it does this and no way of know until looking at the device or getting a iMessage from someone because the phone is only connected to my home internet.

my zip is 74804

i am seriously thinking about switching carriers. I have been on Verizon since way before when  they bought alltel. This is a nationwide issue that customers have been complaining about for over a year.

No changes. And it’s happening on 3 devices at the same location.  I just had to do the airplane mode thing twice in 5 minutes to get service.

And just now again. It goes from 4 bars to 2 bars to no bars.

Same problem with an iPhone 16. Verizon sent a network extender and it won’t stay connected. Also thinking of switching service.

I’m on the same  boat. Verizon has reset, changed antenna, extensive  troubleshooting and swapped phones. Nothing seems to solve the problem. After 10yrs of pratonage, I think I’m changing carriers.

Hey there, Erickt101, we appreciate your loyalty over the last decade and appreciate you working with us on your service concern. Seeing the SOS message is a bummer and we want to help in any way possible. How often are you seeing SOS? Is this happening at a particular location?
