Financial service dept

Recently my service was terminated. I received an email stating they can help restore services by offering up to 30% off of service charges and waive restoration fees. I thought it was a good deal so I called the number on the email. I spoke to a supervisor stating he can help. He basically told me to pay my whole bill. I told him the email I received and he hung up on me. Also had the nerve to send me a text survey stating how satisfied was I with the help I received. I called back and spoke to someone named Reynaldo. Stated he can help and when I told him about the email he placed me on hold for 30 minutes then hung up.! I called back and got a female. She stated I was speaking to tech support so sheโ€™d transfer me to financial to assist with the email I received. She placed me on hold and came back 45 minutes later and said she tried to reach the financial department and they hung up on her twice! Why am I not surprised? I decided to go down to the corporate location near me and they stated they could not honor the email because I have to call the number! So I call the number from the Verizon store and spoke to Jason. He told me I need to pay my bill to restore services. I said Iโ€™m trying to pay my bill with the 30% off service fees and waive the restoration fee. He told me I have to pay the bill in order to get that discount. Does that make any sense ? I said the email literally says โ€œLetโ€™s help you get restoredโ€ and proceeds to explain how they can give a discount to restore it! After going back and forth for an hour he says heโ€™s going to transfer me to someone who can help. He puts me on hold for 35 minutes and does not come back on the line to say hey Iโ€™m still attempting to transfer the call. So I hang up and call back! This time I get Jared. Jared has an attitude as soon as I say Iโ€™m not paying my full balance. At this point heโ€™s not even offering for me to pay the past due required to restore services. Heโ€™s stating I have to pay the full balance and thereโ€™s nothing he can do to honor the discount. By this time Iโ€™m livid!!! Iโ€™ve never experienced so much dissatisfaction from a company! Is this how Verizon takes care of their customers? Not only did I waste hours on the phone but I was not helped once! Each agent I spoke to did not help me at all. Why send an email stating you can help restore services by giving a discount if no one wants to honor the email. This makes me want to change carriers because Iโ€™ve never experienced such horrible customer service! Do better Verizon! Stop sending false advertising emails if youโ€™re not going to honor it! The financial department is getting paid to hang up on customers because Iโ€™ve literally gotten hung up on multiple times! Who is running this department because itโ€™s horrible!
