Increase in Potential Spam calls since installation of Voice Connect

Voice Connect was installed to replace my old copper landline approximately one month ago. It has worked perfectly and I am happy with it except for the fact that I appear to be receiving an increase in the number of calls identified as "Potential Spam" since the installation. This may just be a perception on my part since these spam calls weren't identified as such with the old copper landline. Regardless, I would like to eliminate or significantly reduce the number of theses calls. They are a major annoyance and interruption. Does anyone have any suggestions?

FDSJr, we don't want you to keep having issues with spam calls. They definitely can be bothersome, but the Call Filter service can help lower the amount of calls that make it to you. You can also take a look at the National Do Not Call Registry and sign up there to prevent spam callers from reaching you as well: https://www.donotcall.gov/

Thanks for the reply. My phone service plan on my bill is shown as Voice Connect Premium. Although I am not certain, I believe that I have the Call Filter option in place. I make this conclusion because the spam calls are clearly identified as "Potential Spam" on my caller ID, but they still ring through. It would seem that the Call Filter is doing a good job of catching and identifying the spam calls, advising me that the calls are potential spam, but it is not actually filtering them out and blocking them. Do I actually have it as part of my Voice Connect Premium service and am I misunderstanding how it is supposed to function?
