No connectivity for certain applications when connected to LTE network

Yesterday, while taking a Zoom call via internet (not dial-in) on an iPhone 15 while connected to an LTE network, I noticed that connectivity for other apps and services was not available. This was not a question of the quality of the signal, or my distance from the tower - my Zoom call was great, and I was able to surf the web on Safari.
Most frustratingly, one of the apps that simply would not connect via LTE was the Verizon App - see the screenshot attached.. (This frustrating company does not host images in its forum).
I noticed the following:
Connecting, with good service:
- Safari
- Zoom
Not connecting:
- iOS push notifications
- Verizon
- Slack
Push notifications was most frustrating, as they are becoming an important part of authentication flows (how I noticed the issue).
Do I need to change some aspect of my mobile device configuration to allow apps to use data on LTE?
This is actually a pretty big issue where I live, where Verizon isn't the market leader - I'm on LTE pretty consistently.

willard2120, we don't want you to miss out on other aspects of your phone when you're on a Zoom calls, and it's definitely strange that data seems to be working, but specific apps and push notifications are not. Does this only happen when you're on a Zoom call? What troubleshooting have you been able to try so far?

If your other apps are failing to connect only when you're on a Zoom call, my guess is the LTE connection you have doesn't have enough bandwidth to support the other apps while Zoom is running because Zoom is taking up most of the available bandwidth. LTE technology has been around for 15 or so years now, so doesn't have the capability 5G does.
But if the other apps always fail to run no matter what, that's another problem altogether.
The forums do allow you to post images. Click or tap on the camera icon in the reply box and it goes to the insert photos widget where you can upload pictures and do some basic formatting (size, positioning) before clicking or tapping on the Done button to add the picture to the post. The moderators have to approve an image before it will be visible, so there will be a yellow triangle placeholder showing for a little while until the image is approved. If for some reason your image is rejected, you get a red circle with slash showing.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
