Phone Network

For last one week I have been experiencing a very weird issue with my phone .I have S22 Ultra. And somehow the network and 5G are completely fine inside my house. But as soon as I leave my area, the network drops to Emergency call only and does not return unless I return home .I have tried restarting.  updating software  updating esim and many other suggestions made by verizon representative , but nothing seems to have worked.

So, network fine at home but not outside, anywhere  else.

Of couse, we have a similar S22 ultra device in the household, which works without any issues.

Any help appreciated.

Are you using WiFi while at home?  If your S22 refuses to connect to the internet unless it's on WiFi, this is a known hardware problem with the S22 generation.  The fix is to get the charging port board and flex antenna replaced.  One user reported they had to get all the antennas replaced, but most posts I've seen about this issue say getting the 2 items I mentioned works.

The parts are cheap, so it's more what a repair shop wants to charge for labor.  While your other S22 is OK for now, I wouldn't be surprised if it develops the same issue eventually.  Wasn't a good year for Samsung's flagship series. 😞

Using wifi at home but 5G works fine at home and have been using 5G at home too at times when home internet is down. 

Have not used wifi calling at home, just fyi. 

It is so weird of a problem that is tough to understand. Why would it work at home and nowhere else pn the planet?

Will be thinking twice now to upgrade to a Samsung phone in future.

If you are mostly on WiFi while at home, that's why the phone is working only while you're at home.  If you were somewhere else that has WiFi and turned on WiFi, then the phone would work there.  You will need to get the parts I mentioned in my earlier post replaced in order to be able to use the phone consistently on cellular service.
