I work in garden grove off of Garden Grove Blvd and Harbor Blvd . This is my first time complaining since I’ve been with Verizon , it’s just in that particular area I do not revive signal what so ever and I kind of need my phone to work . I really want this problem to be fixed . I used to get service I don’t know what happened , thinking about switching companies . Very upset .

Hello, Winter221, we know how important it is to have service at work. How long have you been running into an issue with service at this location? Is this happening both indoors and out? If so, how far away from your workplace do you have to travel before service improves?

I work at a school in the same area and I also don't have any service. All of my colleagues with Verizon are experiencing the same issue and have been since the start of the school year. I've taught at the same location for 8 years and this is the only year I've had any problems but, honestly, this is ridiculous. I can't use my apps, browse Safari-- I can't even send or receive simple text messages. To me, this has turned into a safety issue since, for example, we use texting to communicate during lockdowns. Not to mention that my friends and family would be totally unable to contact me in the event of a personal emergency at home. At this point, I'm both frustrated and struggling to justify what, exactly, I'm paying for every month. If this isn't resolved, I will have to find another provider that covers the area.

mYourHuckleberry, We agree that safety is a priority and we are here to investigate further. You shared that this has been an issue since the start of the school year. Have there been any other recent changes? How far away do you have to be from the school before you have service?

No changes and the problems persist within a 2 mile radius.

Let's get this resolved. Please tell us, are multiple devices experiencing the same issue? Does it happen during specific times of the day? Are all services being impacted? ~Geo

Yes, multiple devices are affected. It doesn't matter which day or what time of day, it's constant, all the time and it's only Verizon. We can't receive or send texts, we can't browse, we can't use apps. I had a family emergency and didn't find out until i was already on the freeway going home, hours later, when all my messages finally started flooding in all at once.
Every teacher on my campus who also has Verizon is affected and we've been reaching out about this. One of my colleagues said she spoke to a rep on the phone for an hour and a half this morning, only to have them say there's probably not going to be anything done about this. A couple teachers have already dropped Verizon and gone with other providers who actually deliver what we're paying for and most of us are not far behind them. This has been an issue the whole school year and we're all growing tired of the run-around when nothing's being done.

Yes this has been happening since the beginning of his year and it has been so frustrating to have to go through that . I have to go about 2 to 3 miles to even get a little bit of service . Yes it’s happening both inside and out . It affects both me and my husband . And it has caused a safety issue because just last week I had a lockdown at the bank I work and it was impossible to contact my husband because I didn’t have any device and that was very scary for the both of us not being able to communicate.

How is this area still a dead zone? I catch every day driving to and from work. And when you try to use your phone at any of the stores you get no service.

Unbelievable same issue and that still haven't been resolved. I was just in that area today 6/20/24 4:15-5pm and was wondering why my phone wasn’t working. Couldn’t make a call or text to my kids. That’s not cool incase of an emergency and they need to get ahold of me. Definitely is a dead zone garden grove Blvd and harbor area.
Also dead zone area on beach Blvd at the Walmart & Costco business no service once you walk in those stores.

I tried to connect with guys right now in that area. I was just there again. In the dead zone Harbor & Garden grove Blvd shopping center. What a nightmare! I couldn’t get out of there fast enough! My phone wouldn’t work until I passed Great wolf lodge heading toward Target. As soon as I passed Great wolf my phone kicked in and I was able to reply to my cousin. She probably was wondering what happened to me. This is horrible!

This dead zone is well documented now and is massive. It stretches from the 22 freeway at Fairview, as far west as Newhope and as far north as Lampson. Customer Service needs to stop making it about the customer's devices and experiences and look into their own coverage.
