SOS / no service

My daughter has an iPhone 13. She went to Atlantic City last week and was unable to use her phone the whole weekend due to an SOS error message. No texts would go through either. On Monday, she went to the Verizon store and they gave her an eSIM. Today is Sunday and she went one county north and she wasnโ€™t able to use her phone again today due to same error message.  Now combined we spent over five hours on the phone with tech-support, online looking at videos, YouTube, TikTok, and itโ€™s still unable to be fixed. So the only other thing is to probably go to T-Mobile at this point. This isnโ€™t an Apple issue. This is a Verizon issue. How many times does Verizon expect a customer to be told theyโ€™re fixing something and it keeps happening to the point where she uses her phone for navigation and isnโ€™t able to navigate, text, or call?

Oh, no! Dealing with service issues can be overwhelming, especially while traveling. Verizon is here to help.

Are any other travelers having similar issues? Aside from the trip and the eSIM, any other changes?Did she ever encounter something similar in her home location?

No!  It happened when she traveled county south and the next weekend one county north. Period however she did have it fixed. They put another Sim. I will see if this goes OK however, we did have to waste several hours of our time trying to get this fixed
