Spam and rejected calls go to voice mail?

Maybe the only thing more annoying than receiving an unwanted sales or spam call is rejecting it and then seeing it go to verizon voice mail, which is excruriatingly slow and arduous to navigate; it's like waiting for a bank loan approval. Honestly, no respectable caller will even leave a message anymore because they'd be embarrassed to put the receiver through the hassle of dialing a number, entering a PIN, waiting for a robot annunciator to ploddingly describe options, enter another choice, wait for a call playback to start, and then enter another command to delete the darned thing.  No one wants to use the system.

Verizon needs to do more to allow customers to reject an incoming caller so that they cannot leave a message.  They need to cut the fat out of their voice mail system and reduce interaction time by at least 75 percent.  They need to allow mobile users to delete a voice message without going into the voice mail system.

Thank you for considering.
