Trade in value updated -reduced to almost nothing
kpelletier2024

Verizon is now doing a promotion for the new S24. I was told I could trade in any Samsung phone for 800 dollars off a new phone. I turned in an S10 with a cracked screen. They told me that was fine as long as the battery was not defective. I just received an email stating that they reduced my trade in value because:

"Qualifying purchase not found or different than original order"  ????

What does that actually mean? I did everything they said to do.

I'm not too happy right now as the S10 was functional and I had been using it. I really feel like I've been duped. I should have checked these forums beforehand as I see this same type of things happening to many people.

kpelletier2024, We understand how valuable promotions are and we would be glad to take a closer look at the promotion in question. We want to ensure that you receive any eligible offers. Did the email share what the reduced value for your trade would be? Additionally, depending on the promotion, the type of plan that the updated line is on can imapact the total trade value. Were there any plan changes or other account changes that took place after the upgrade was completed that could impact the trade in value?

The updated value was $19.50!

My plan was supposed to change but I noticed just now that it is the same plan I've had all along.
