Verizon app manager

Verizon app manager keeps randomly downloading games and apps onto my kids new phones!  I read the terms and agreements and I 1000000000 PERCENT DID NOT  agree to allow Verizon to install ANY app of their choosing! I'm contacting an attorney about this issue because there are numerous reasons I approve apps on their phones!!! I've disabled the feature but I shouldn't have too!!! You need to add this to your agreements also which now is too late in my case! I also heard that you have to disable it after every single update!  So what if you download a app that has malware attached to it? Is it then my problem? Is it my issue and I'm forced to purchase a new phone because of something we didn't do???? GET IT FIXED!

I've heard some conflicting information about the Verizon App Manager; thought it was preinstalled as part of the carrier software on every Verizon phone.  But a longtime Pixel user has said elsewhere none of his Pixels had the Verizon App Manager on them.  So I don't know if it is only certain Verizon phones which have it, but unfortunately there's no way to uninstall the app manager itself and yes, you have to keep disabling it after every software update and delete whatever unwanted apps it puts on. 😞

Buying unlocked phones is the only way to truly avoid bloatware such as this, but it cuts both ways because no carrier will troubleshoot an unlocked phone for you, so if the phone starts acting up, you're on your own.

Omg I share in your frustrations and have to agree with the only solution I have had thus far was when I purchased my old S21 unlocked; I was able to avoid the hassle and aggravating NERVE on this company successfully.

BUT... My permanent solution has now become that I am switching my service once I pay off this last device (3 more mths) STRAIGHT TO AT&T

Don't buy a carrier phone if you don't want to look at ads or have apps downloaded in the background.  Verizon has the Verizon App Manager, the Pink Logo Place has an app which is a spam magnet, and while I've never used Blue Logo Place for mobile service, I can't imagine their carrier phones wouldn't have some sort of bloatware on them too.  It's how carriers can sell carrier variant phones for less than factory unlocked models because some 3rd party companies have paid for advertising via the carrier.
