A senior lives mountain remote rural. Very little service. Yesterday phone blocks all calls "emergency only" status. Contact Verizon from old land line. They ask for account pin. I dunno what it was over a decade ago. Offered Agent last 4 of SS# NO that is not acceptable. Previous address NO even offeredexhubbies blood type because obviously this boy is jerking me around. Has no other option for verification LONG CALL ZERO SUPPORT agent leaves this senior alone in the mountains overnight with no cell service looking at other options will cancel Verzion asap due to elder abuse STILL NO WAY TO CALL FOR ANY HELP HERE. Verizons DEI game is likely the elephant in the room
Verizon was really great until it just didn't care anymore

I'm so sorry to hear you had a problem verifying and had phone issues. I recommend visiting a corporate store with a government issued ID. Find one here: https://www.verizon.com/stores/-Joe

I'd use the "Check Network Status" link in the "Get help from Verizon" box to the right to see if there's something going on with the towers in your area.
As for your account PIN, yes, they do ask for it when you call in to make sure it's you. Otherwise, anybody could call in and be messing with your service. You can reset your account PIN by logging into your My Verizon account. See the link below for more details.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
