wifi calling telling me I am outside of the US

This just started happening yesterday. When I am on wifi calling my phone does not ring, and when I try to dial out it tells me "If you are dialing an international number, charges may apply" I am in the US

I have Xfinity internet service and am using an Android moto z4 phone.  WiFi calling works fine for me.

If that is a message generated from the Verizon network, then either the phone is not constructing the packets properly to be transmitted over the wifi/internet to the Verizon gateway to the cellular network properly OR the Verizon gateway the wifi network is routing the packets to is having an issue handling/translating the packets to the cellular network format.  I wouldn't think the wifi router/network would be messing with the packet it is transmitting to have the message you're receiving generated.  If your phone has had a recent update it may be affecting the wifi calling message construction or the Verizon gateway from the Xfinity network is having an issue which may be temporary.

It sounds like a network ticket from Xfinity to Verizon needs to be opened if the issue persists to trace your calls and see where the issue is, whether the packets coming into Verizon are corrupted or they are mishandling them. Good luck.

Must be something with your ISP using servers outside the US.  Have you tried adding a 1 before the area code and phone number you're calling?

The only thing I could find regarding this when I used a search engine is to update your carrier settings on the phone.  The problem is being caused by a formatting error.

Sorry for the delay in responding.  The carrier settings aren't readily accessible on Android phones; it's an iPhone thing.  ☹️

If your calls work fine while on cellular and it's only messed up while you're on WiFi, I'm not sure if the number formatting error is kicking in from your phone or it is something with your ISP.  If your SIM card or eSIM was originally taken from an older phone and put onto the A54, it's possible that the SIM/eSIM could be outdated and maybe you need a new SIM card or eSIM?  Otherwise, the only other things I can think of is if Xfinity did some updates on their network and your phone hasn't picked up on it, in which case doing a network reset on your phone to erase the WiFi settings so you can do a fresh login to WiFi, or there's something else going on with your ISP causing the number formatting errors.  Jav6's post about contacting Xfinity either by calling them or posting in their forums is a great idea.  (And thanks for letting me know regular forum members are able to post phone numbers again...for a while the forum software was automatically removing all phone numbers posted by regular members.)

xfinity is just my service provider, they should only see this as packets?

I have to agree with Jav6's earlier post about something going wrong with how the packets are being interpreted.  The international call message warning is because something is not being "translated" properly when you are dialing a phone number.  For example, say you're calling someone in New York City and the area code is 212.  When you dial 1 - (212) - [phone number] it is going through as 12 - 12 - [phone number] instead.  Country code 12 is for Azerbaijan, hence your phone thinks it's calling outside the US.  Whether this formatting error is coming from something with your phone (maybe an update messed things up) or it is something with Xfinity, can't say.  But if it is only happening when you are on WiFi calling using Xfinity, then I'd contact Xfinity.
