Apple One Unlimited - cannot sign up family

I got Apple One Unlimited, and I activated Apple One for my line. It's active on my phone, no problem there. The Verizon web site says I am signed up for Apple One Family.

If I try to activate another of my family's lines, it says that I have to unenroll from my individual plan first before I can enroll in a family plan. (Remember, the web site says I am already enrolled in a family plan.) If I do that, now Apple One is active on my family member's line but not on mine any more. If I then try to activate another line, I get the same message that I must unenroll them from their individual account before I can enroll in a family account.

I can find no way to activate Apple One on more than one of our lines. If I look on the phone itself under the Apple One subscription, it says that is administered through my Verizon account.

I upgraded to this plan specifically to get Apple One for my whole family.

Hello! Were you enrolled in the individual plan before?

Thanks for those details. For clarification, what plans do you have on your account for your phone lines?

Hi, it would be my pleasure to assist you today, what error are you having when you try to enroll?

I described the problem in the original post.

I can enroll one line (for example, my own). The web site now shows my line having an active subscription to Apple One Family.

But I don't know how to enroll the rest of my family. If I try to enroll one of their lines from the Verizon site the same way I enrolled my own, it says: "In order to enroll in Apple One Family, you'll need to cancel your Apple One Individual subscription." If I proceed it cancels my subscription, enrolls theirs, and now they have it and I don't.

I want all 5 of my family's lines enrolled in Apple One.

Not a Verizon rep but I think I know the solution to this, so only one Apple ID gets to claim Apple One as owner and in order to add your family you have to enable family sharing in your iPhone settings and send each person an invite to your family, then you can manage what you share with family like subscriptions and purchases. If you need ore help feel free to PM me.

I have this same issue, when we were at Verizon setting everything up when we first changed to this plan we were enrolled in the individual plan and I noticed it recently and wanted to get it switched to the family plan and I am met with an error message when I attempt it on both my lines I also am unable to reenroll in the individual on both my lines as well. I would really like to get this resolved.

The last thing we want is for you to have problems with enrollment. We're going to send you a Private Note so we can gather more information.

Hey why are you staff members withholding info? Why does he have to direct message you when other people would like to see the solution to 5his problem as well. I should be able to add family members from my computer. I shouldn't need to wait to have access to someone's phone just to add a family member

I had a similar issue. I have the plan with Apple One individual as part of the package. I got the offer to change it at no charge to the Apple One Family plan but each time I tried it would give me an error if I tried on my iPhone and from the web it would redirect me to the Verizon home page. After a call with Verizon and a separate call with AppleCare I decided to try again by messaging Verizon and this was the solution.

  • Logged into my account on Chrome through my PC
  • Selected โ€œPlansโ€
  • Selected my phone from the list of devices on my account
  • Scroll down to โ€œPlan Perksโ€
  • Selected the โ€œActiveโ€ perks tab
  • Apple One individual is listed and to the right of it selected โ€œManageโ€
  • You will see that you can then select โ€œRemoveโ€ as an option. I confirmed it and it was removed
  • Went back to the Plans page and scrolled down to the Perks section. Under available was the โ€œAppleOne Familyโ€ offer.
  • Select โ€œGet Startedโ€
  • You are then able to assign the family plan to the phone/line you just removed AppleOne Individual from
  • Once you select the line to send a text message with a link to setup AppleOne Family on confirm it
  • Check your messages app for the Verizon message with the link to set up AppleOne Family. Follow the steps and you are done.
  • It worked. My question back to the agent was if each line got its own AppleOne Family plan. They indicated that since AppleOne Family covers 5 user it covers the other iPhone on my account. Itโ€™s not 5 users per line. So if you have your spouse and 10 kids as an example only 5 of you are getting the feature. Choose which ones you like the most.

My phone updated immediately as well as my second line

This worked for me hope it works for you
